“Do not look away from the poor” (Tb 4:7)

Dear friends,
After the past editions of our FRATELLO meetings (Rome - Lourdes - Assisi - and all over the world...), we are going back on an adventure to walk in the Church with the poor!
Our horizon: the Jubilee of the Church in 2025, where, for the World Day of the Poor in November, we will arrive in Pilgrims of Hope in Rome! Our pilgrimage will include several stages...
This summer, we are taking a FRATELLO delegation with young people from the peripheries to World Youth Day in Lisbon.
Inspired by these meetings and the theme “Marie got up and left in a hurry”, FRATELLO proposes to experience the 7th World Day of the Poor with the Virgin Mary. In several shrines dedicated to Mary or in front of a small oratory, it will be an opportunity to present to the Mother of God all our miseries. Whether we have experienced the street, prison, prostitution, prostitution, family separations or any kind of breakup or isolation, it is to her that the cry of the poorest will be addressed!
Together, let's find the weekend of November 18 and 19, 2023! ” Let us not look away from the poor.” (Tb 4,7) as Pope Francis invites us to do. Indeed, “the poor are a treasure”, we are convinced of this.
Together we can experience a Marian procession, a Mercy Vigil on Saturday evening, a Mass and a Friendship Banquet on Sunday. Together with the Virgin Mary, we will let Jesus flinch in us as in the Magnificat! And we will share a joint prayer by video with pilgrims from the Bronx, Chile, Cameroon, Asia, the Middle East...
In France, we are planning large gatherings at Our Lady of Pontmain (53), Notre-Dame de Boulogne (92), Our Lady of Lourdes (65), Notre-Dame du Laus (05) in partnership with the diocese of Gap-Embrun, Notre-Dame de la Garde (13), Our Lady of Fourvière in partnership with the diocese of Lyon (69) as well as at Taizé (71) and Montbeliard (90) in partnership with the diocese of Belfort-Montbeliard.
Let us open wide the doors of each of our churches to the most fragile ! Let us not be afraid to live a friendship with the poorest and to open our hearts to love them as our brothers and sisters! Christ, in our midst, will radiate and heal the wounds...
